1. Course Objectives
This is a doctoral level course introducing students to important topics in international finance, such as exchange rate theory, international asset pricing, international asset allocation. It also covers aspects of the recent financial crisis, such as market contagions, regulatory arbitrage and failure, current account imbalances and their sustainability, the European financial crisis and stability issues of a currency union. The course objective is to familiarize doctoral students with open research questions which can lead to thesis work. Each student is expected to give a multiple presentation from a list of recent research paper.
